Chickpea Flour, also called gram flour or besan, dried chickpeas milled into flour; Codex classifies chickpeas as a pulse. IslamQA rules that everything that grows from the earth is permissible in principle, citing the Qur'an: “He it is Who created for you all that is on earth” (al-Baqarah 2:29).
