Potassium Nitrate (E252)

Potassium nitrate, also called saltpetre, listed as E252, a preservative. MUIS and SANHA mark it doubtful: it is a natural mineral, but can also be made from waste animal or vegetable material. A vegan claim or a halal mark on the pack settles it.
