Metatartaric acid, listed as E353, a sequestrant made from tartaric acid. MUIS marks it doubtful. SANHA marks it doubtful and says to check the source of the tartaric acid, which it lists as a by-product of the wine industry or synthetic. A halal mark on the pack settles it.
