Halal status: Source dependent

Polysorbate 60 (Tween 60), listed as E435, an emulsifier made from sorbitol and stearic acid. MUIS and IFANCA mark it doubtful. SANHA marks it doubtful and says to check the source of the stearic acid. A vegan claim or a halal mark on the pack settles it.
