Halal status: Source dependent

Polysorbate 80 (Tween 80), listed as E433, an emulsifier made from sorbitan and oleic acid. MUIS and IFANCA mark it doubtful. SANHA marks it doubtful and says to check the source of the oleic acid. A vegan claim or a halal mark on the pack settles it.
