Sorbitan monooleate (Span 80), listed as E494, an emulsifier made from sorbitol and oleic acid. MUIS and IFANCA mark it doubtful. SANHA marks it doubtful and says to check the source of the oleic acid. A vegan claim or a halal mark on the pack settles it.
