Calcium stearoyl lactylate, listed as E482, an emulsifier made from stearic and lactic acids. MUIS and IFANCA mark it doubtful. SANHA marks it doubtful and says to check the source of the stearic acid. A vegan claim or a halal mark on the pack settles it.
