Halal status: Source dependent

Esters of glycerol, listed as E472 and E472a to E472c, emulsifiers made from glycerol, fatty acids and acetic, lactic or citric acid. MUIS and IFANCA mark them doubtful. SANHA marks them doubtful and says to check the source of the glycerol and fatty acids. A vegan claim or a halal mark on the pack settles it.
