Stearic acid, listed as E570, a fatty acid found in animal fats and vegetable oils. MUIS and IFANCA mark it doubtful. SANHA marks it doubtful and gives its source as animal or vegetable oils, or synthesis from vegetable oils. A vegan claim or a halal mark on the pack settles it.
