Halal status: Source dependent

Triacetin, also called glycerol triacetate, listed as E1518, made by acetylating glycerol. MUIS marks it doubtful. SANHA marks it doubtful and says to check the source of the glycerol. A vegan claim or a halal mark on the pack settles it.
