Lactoglobulin status depends on its source. Toronto Public Health states whey prepared with non-microbial enzyme is Haram. As lactoglobulin is a whey protein, varieties from microbial-rennet dairy are Halal; those from animal-rennet non-Zabiha production are not. Seek Halal certification.
