Halal status: Source dependent

Catalase status depends on its source. IFANCA lists enzymes as requiring investigation. Commercial catalase is derived from fungal or bacterial sources and is generally Halal. Animal-derived catalase, particularly from bovine liver, requires Halal certification of the source animal.
