White Sugar, refined from the juice of sugar cane or sugar beet. IslamQA rules that the bone char some refineries use to whiten sugar has been burned into charcoal or ashes, which are pure, so it does not affect the sugar's permissibility, even where the bones came from animals not slaughtered Islamically.
