Halal status: Source dependent

Bone broth status depends on the source animal and slaughter method. Toronto Public Health states meat and poultry are Halal only when slaughtered according to Islamic rites. Bone broth made from Zabiha-slaughtered animals is Halal. Broth from pork bones or non-Zabiha animals is not permissible.
