Swordfish is unconditionally Halal. Toronto Public Health lists seafood as Halal under Meat and Alternatives. Sheikh Muhammed Salih al-Munajjid states all sea animals are permissible based on Surah Al-Maidah 5:96. No slaughter is required for fish.
