Fish sauce is a salty liquid made by fermenting fish with salt, usually for six months or more. Codex allows other ingredients to help the fermentation, and certain additives such as colours, preservatives and flavour enhancers. No halal authority this app relies on has yet ruled on fish sauce by name; it will be reviewed when a ruling is found.
