Halal status: Haram

Frog is unconditionally Haram. Sheikh Muhammed Salih al-Munajjid states the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade the killing of frogs, citing the hadith of Abd al-Rahman ibn Uthman narrated by Imam Ahmad and Ibn Majah. The rule is that everything forbidden to kill is also forbidden to eat.
