Cocoa Mass, also called chocolate liquor or cocoa liquor, is the product of grinding cocoa nibs, the shelled cocoa bean. Despite the name it contains no alcohol. MUIS rules that chocolate liquor is generally halal, and distinguishes it from chocolate liqueur, an alcoholic drink, which is not.
